Bug Reporting
|
We want to know if you
encounter a problem using MacPOSX software. If you find a bug , we would appreciate it
if you could provide us with the following information. This
will help us save time.
- The version of MacPOSX
that you are using, ie v1.4 Multiuser
- Your OS X operating
version, ie 10.3, 10.4 or
10.5.6
- Let us know your computer model, ie
Intel Core Duo, Mac Mini, iMac G5 2 Ghz, G4 iMac 800. Hard drive size is not important.
- The amount of RAM generally isn't a problem with modern Macs, but let us know if you have less than 512MB. If you are running Safari or iTunes while using MacPOSx, it can be exhausting free RAM and slow down your computer.
- Give us as detailed a
description of the problem as you can. Being verbose is a good thing when trying to resolve computer issues.
- Please don't report
something like, "I can't change the date" and
nothing more. Which date, what screen, on what field,
would be the questions we would then have to ask
next.
- Provide as much information as possible. For example : "When I open the
Sales DB, and I am trying to change the date on an
Active order, by clicking on the Invoice Date field,
in the Edit mode, nothings happens. I have restarted
the program and the problem persists".
- Provide a phone number
and a good time to call in case we need to contact you.
- If you can, send us
screen
shots in an email, by using
shift-command-4 and creating a Picture file to illustrate
what you see. This can help greatly when trying to troubleshoot your problem.
