Selling inventory and services
MacPOSX was designed to be simple and easy to use when creating new sales. Our OS X version was fashioned after the features and ease of use found in our classic MacPOS, which was first sold in 1985. It provides a superior interface layout, which can be customized, your way. This is something that our competitors just don't provide as an option. The Sales Order window can be easily setup with only the features and information you want to see.
You can change the layout of the POS interface and database forms to suit your needs. Use colors you like and a font size that you can read. Design your own interface to utilize the entire screen resolution of your monitor.
The TouchPad interface can include pictures of your products. Add a touchscreen monitor for quick product sales.
You can find most anything from the Sales window, whether it's a product price, current in stock level, a contact's email address or the status of that special ordered item for your best customer.
Sell anything at any time. Even if an item is not in your Item database, you can sell it instantly by just typing the information freely. You can even use the program in a simple cash register mode where you click on or enter a Department key to sell items not yet entered or labeled.

Items Database
The Items database stores your goods and services that you sell. Each item is stored in a record which contains all the information about it. To sell an item or service, you only need an Item ID, description, resale price and a tax status.
With MacPOSX you can take control of your inventory items. Accurately price the items you sell by scanning bar code labels that the program creates.

Contact Database
MacPOSX stores your customers, vendors, employees, friends, relatives and more in the contact database. With over 50 customizable fields, you can track everything from an anniversary to a website address. Like all database windows, you can easily customize the layout by changing the colors, fonts, size and positions of the fields on the screen. Add additional fields to the form to record virtually anything you want about the contact.
MacPOSX prints address labels and contact ID cards for customers entered in your contact database. You can create ID cards that can be used to identify the contact at the POS and can be scanned to start a new sale. Place a contact's picture in the database that can be printed on labels and receipts or viewed on the screen during the creation of a sale. This ensures positive identification of the customer in businesses requiring this feature.
Print labels using off-the-shelf Avery labels. You can layout the label to include any field in the database. Shown below is a simple label layout including a barcode and picture.
 
Reporting
MacPOSX makes reporting easy. It has the built-in reports you need to find out important information quickly. From one window you can view reports on the screen and click a button to print them on paper, fax, email or save as a pdf file.

Unleash your Data
Report data in MacPOSX can easily be exchanged and viewed on remote Macs not hosting the original database. The reports do not need the databases present to view or print them. When you are away from your business, have your employees email you the reports you need. See the daily sales transaction journal, stock on hand or a low-stock report.
 
Open and view any saved report in MacPOSX on your laptop at home, another office or anywhere your Mac happens to be. Save the report as a file and then open, view and print the report later.
 
You can quickly export a file in text format to share with other programs too. Use the information to prepare a departmental report in AppleWorks, Excel or many other applications.
 
Customize the Reports
In addition to the built-in reports, easily create your own custom reports for viewing on screen and print. For the item and contact databases, you can add your own custom fields to a report. Rearrange the data, sort, add or delete information on your reports.
